YOTEL to Join Hilton's New Select Brand

SYDNEY — Hilton has announced an exclusive agreement with YOTEL, a move that aims to broaden its global presence in the lifestyle hotel segment. This partnership will see YOTEL become the first independent brand within Hilton’s newly established Select by Hilton brand, according to a statement released on March 19, 2026.

The agreement will allow YOTEL to leverage Hilton’s global distribution platform while maintaining its brand identity at its 23 hotels across 10 countries. Hilton Honors members will gain access to YOTEL’s innovative accommodations, featuring smart room designs and tech-enabled features.

Expansion Strategy

YOTEL plans to triple its portfolio in the coming years, focusing on urban markets where it has already established a strong presence. The collaboration is part of Hilton’s strategy to expand its asset-light model and cater to the growing demand for lifestyle accommodations. Christian Charnaux, Hilton’s Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, stated that the partnership complements Hilton’s existing brand portfolio and enhances its network by integrating YOTEL into the Hilton Honors loyalty program.

Phil Andreopoulos, CEO of YOTEL, emphasised that the agreement provides the brand with a broader reach without compromising its unique identity. The integration into Hilton’s network is expected to boost YOTEL’s visibility and demand, offering guests a seamless experience through the Hilton Honors app.

This announcement follows a trend in the hospitality sector where major hotel chains are increasingly adopting asset-light models and forming partnerships with independent brands to meet evolving consumer preferences. Analysts believe this strategic move will not only benefit both Hilton and YOTEL but also set a precedent for future collaborations in the industry. The growing inclination towards lifestyle hotels reflects a shift in consumer interest towards more personalized and technology-driven accommodations.
