Expansion to 4,600 beds across multiple states
SYDNEY — Anglicare Sydney has announced the acquisition of Infinite Care, creating a major national Christian for-purpose aged care provider. The deal, expected to finalise by May 2026, will add approximately 4,600 beds across 42 homes in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia, employing around 7,000 staff, according to the company.
The merger aims to address growing demands within the aged care sector by expanding service offerings and increasing bed availability. Simon Miller, CEO of Anglicare Sydney, emphasised the strategic nature of the acquisition, stating that it will enhance care quality and operational scale. “With an ageing population, older Australians need strong aged care providers that are sustainable for the future,” Miller commented.
The acquisition marks a significant step in Anglicare Sydney’s mission to provide comprehensive care. Infinite Care CEO Luke Greive remarked on the synergy between the two organisations, highlighting shared values and a commitment to whole-of-person care. “Joining with Anglicare Sydney strengthens our ability to deliver whole-of-person care, supporting residents not only clinically, but emotionally and spiritually,” Greive said.
Strategic Growth in Aged Care Sector
The acquisition comes amid increasing demand for aged care services in Australia, as the population ages. The combined platform will allow for development opportunities and new bed availability across their portfolio. Operations are expected to continue smoothly during the transition, with Infinite Care maintaining its brand identity for the foreseeable future.
Anglicare Sydney’s focus remains on providing high-quality, resident-centered care, with an emphasis on dignity, belonging, and community. This initiative reflects a broader trend in the sector towards consolidations aimed at enhancing service delivery and infrastructure.
