What's On in Spotswood

About events in Spotswood

Spotswood has a character all its own, quietly tucked along the banks of the Yarra with a blend of industrial history and neighbourhood charm. Best known for the Scienceworks museum, this pocket of Melbourne draws curious families and science buffs, but there is more here once you start exploring. Old factories and warehouses have found new life as breweries, casual eateries, and creative spaces, giving the area an easygoing, slightly offbeat feel.

Events in Spotswood reflect its quirky, community-minded spirit. You might stumble across a local makers’ market, a science-themed workshop, or a low-key live music night at a nearby microbrewery. It is the sort of place where neighbours linger for a chat and visitors are made to feel welcome, whether they have arrived by train, bike, or a quick drive over the West Gate. Spotswood’s appeal lies in its mix of old and new, offering a relaxed spot to discover something a little different.
