What's On in Sunshine

About events in Sunshine

Sunshine has long been a crossroads in Melbourne’s west, a place where stories and cultures meet. We find its energy in the bustle of Hampshire Road, the scent of spice drifting from local bakeries and grocers, and the easy chatter in neighbourhood parks. It is a community shaped by migration, with a strong sense of welcome and resilience that shows up in everything from family-run restaurants to lively weekend markets. Sunshine’s mix of new and old brings together people from all walks of life.

Local halls, libraries, and multicultural centres host film nights, food festivals, art workshops, and live music, reflecting the area’s creative spirit. Sporting events and community celebrations often spill into the local parks and green spaces. Getting here is straightforward; the train station is a major hub on the Sunbury line, while buses and cycling paths connect Sunshine to the rest of the west and beyond.
