Hosted by West End Art Space
About this event
Ways to Access the Subconscious and Personal Abstract Form.
Join artist, Fiona Halse for an exploratory drawing and collage workshop investigating ways to access the subconscious and discover a more personal language of abstract form.
Through a series of intuitive art-making activities, participants will explore tone, line and mark-making, using drawing and collage as tools to move beyond conscious decision-making and uncover instinctive forms, gestures and visual responses. Focusing on tone, line and mark making.
All materials will be provided. Participants are also invited to bring small objects or images they feel drawn to, as well as examples from their visual diaries or their own artwork to share and discuss with the group.
(As part of the 2026 Biennale of Colour and Light, every ticket purchased for the Biennale Grand Opening will also automatically go into a draw for the chance to secure a place in Fiona Halse’s workshop. Winners will be selected at random and contacted via email with further details.)
Workshop Dates:
