The Stables in Richmond has that hidden gem feel, tucked away from Swan Street’s bustle and perfect for a small, focused workshop. The atmosphere at these sessions is welcoming, with a mix of regulars and newcomers, and there’s none of the pressure you might feel at bigger, trendier studios. It’s ideal if you want to switch off and try something mindful, especially with someone guiding you who knows their stuff. This is a good pick for solo locals or small groups looking for a relaxed, no-judgement creative morning, especially if you want to learn a bit about the meaning behind the art you’re making. It stands out from other craft mornings thanks to its focus on both the process and the personal side, rather than just the finished product.
