Join MCM ECIS for School Readiness, a 6-week group for children aged 4-5 years to support their preparation for school through play-based learning and exploration.
Sessions are staffed by our highly skilled Key Worker and Allied Health Assistant. After each group session, staff will document how your child participated and worked towards their set goals. A summary report will be provided at the end of term.
Children will have opportunities to:
- Participate in predictable group routines and transitions
- Engage with peers through shared play experiences
- Communicate ideas, preferences and opinions using their preferred communication methods
- Build confidence participating in small-group activities
Activities are designed to support:
- Social communication
- Peer interaction and play
- Fine and gross motor development
- Early literacy skills
- Participation in everyday routines
Activities are adapted to support a range of communication styles, learning profiles, strengths, interests, and support needs. Visual supports, predictable routines, and responsive facilitation may be used throughout the program to support participation and engagement.
Group Cost: $700 – $1,040
Group costing varies dependent on group numbers. Final costing will be advised prior to group starting. You can utilise NDIS funds or pay fee for service.
If your child is new to MCM, a screener will be completed so that we can better prepare for and support your child. This is a 30 minute charge.
