Taylors Lakes Hotel has long been a reliable spot for a proper night out in Melbourne’s north-west, with its big bistro, roomy function spaces and a relaxed, local crowd. When cricket’s on the agenda, the energy tends to lift, and you can expect plenty of good-natured banter from the audience, especially with O'Keeffe steering the ship. This one’s ideal for cricket tragics and anyone who’s missed those long summer afternoons listening to Skull’s tales. The mix of audience Q&A, memorabilia auctions and a meet and greet makes it more personal than your average sports panel night. It’s quite rare to find this sort of event away from the CBD, so locals have a real treat on their doorstep.
