The ‘Social Mixer Edition’ of Speed Mating is our most informal gathering yet. Unlike our structured events, this one celebrates freedom: more time to chat, fewer formalities, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere where conversations can unfold naturally.

- While this edition may especially suit those who already feel socially confident, it’s absolutely open to everyone.
- If you’re still building that confidence, come anyway – you’ll be supported, welcomed, and encouraged to take things at whatever pace feels right for you.
The Venue:
We’ll be gathering in the back bar of The Laird Hotel – one of Australia’s longest running gay owned venues. Once known as Melbourne’s iconic bear and leather bar, The Laird has evolved into a warm and inclusive meeting place for same sex attracted CIS and Trans men.
