Event details from the organiser

An honest conversation about the weight of expectation, how it shows up & practical ways to perform without it costing your mental wellbeing

Join us for the inaugural OneTALK breakfast workshop — a new public event series from One of Us Foundation, a registered Australian charity dedicated to community mental health and harm prevention.

This session, The Pressure of Performance, is facilitated by valued One of Us member Nick Longo, who unpacks the weight of expectation and how it shows up in our work and personal lives — and shares practical, real-world tools for performing at your best without it costing your wellbeing.

Across the morning, Nick will walk through:

  • Pressure and the stress response — understanding what’s actually happening when expectation starts to weigh on us
  • Purpose in life — reconnecting with what drives you, beyond the pressure to perform
  • Balcony people — identifying who holds you to a higher standard and helps bring out your best
  • Operating rhythm — building the daily habits that create consistency, resilience and what Nick calls a “daily victory”

This is an open, public event, proudly subsidised by One of Us Foundation to keep it accessible to the whole community. Whether you’re a business leader, a professional under pressure, or simply someone who wants to start the conversation, you’re welcome at the table.

Your morning includes: a full breakfast with juices, coffee and tea, followed by an interactive workshop session with Nick.

Supporting a Charitable Cause

One of Us Foundation is a registered Australian charity. Every OneTALK workshop is made possible through donations, sponsorships and ticket proceeds, and every dollar raised goes directly toward delivering our charitable mental health programs — including subsidised counselling, community education and early-intervention support for people who need it most.

By joining us for breakfast, you’re not just investing in your own wellbeing — you’re helping One of Us Foundation reach more people in the community who need support.

SANCTUM Club, tucked away on Wellington Parade, tends to attract a thoughtful crowd, and this early-morning session feels more like gathering with neighbours than a clinical seminar. The setting is relaxed but focused, making it easy to share experiences or just listen in without pressure. There’s always a sense of camaraderie in these intimate, community-driven events that’s hard to find elsewhere in the city. This is a good fit for anyone feeling the squeeze of modern life, from young professionals to seasoned workers or anyone juggling competing demands. Unlike larger talks that skim the surface, this workshop promises practical tools you can actually use, delivered by someone who understands the local pace.
