Come try out walking sports (walking netball, walking basketball and walking pickle ball) in this fun and easy going session!

Join us for a free open day for older adults and discover three fun, easy-to-learn activities: walking netball, walking basketball and pickleball.

Walking sports are modified versions of traditional sports that follow the same basic rules, but participants walk instead of run. They are a great way to enjoy the fun, teamwork, and social connection of sport without the fast pace or physical contact.

There are two sessions available where you will try – walking netball, walking basketball, and pickleball (a paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes).

Book in for either the 10am or 11.30am session where you will rotate through each of the sports via three, short taster sessions (each taster session will last 20 minutes).

Session 1 – 10:00am – 11:30am (arrival and registration from 9.45am)

Session 2 – 11:30am -1:00pm (arrival and registration from 11.15am)

A complimentary snack will be provided after each session.

Registrations Essential

Please note:

Participants should wear clothing and footwear suitable for exercise (i.e., closed toe shoes) and bring a water bottle with them. Participants are advised to consult with their healthcare provider if they have or suspect they have a medical problem or any health risk factors before participating.
