Heilongjiang tourism event runs on 8th and 9th July
Jixi will host Heilongjiang Province’s 8th Tourism Industry Development Conference on 8th and 9th July 2026, as the city promotes itself as an eco-tourism destination.
The conference will run under the theme “Integration, Innovation, and Opportunity” and the guiding principles of simplicity, safety and excellence.
According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province, the programme aims to build platforms for cultural-tourism exchange, cooperation, innovative applications and consumption upgrading.
The event will also showcase Heilongjiang’s ecological beauty, industrial heritage, culinary offerings and openness issued from Jixi on 1st July 2026.
During the 8th conference, Jixi will launch three themed itineraries: “Ignite the Games, Rock the Lakes”, “Drive the Border, Embrace Wellness”, and “Explore the Countryside, Learn Through Play”.
Meanwhile, visitors will be offered dining discounts, guaranteed accommodation, free admission to scenic spots and shopping deals during the 8th conference.
Jiang Xingcheng outlines three highlights
Jiang Xingcheng, deputy director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province, set out three highlights for the 2026 event.
First, Heilongjiang plans deeper links between tourism and culture, industry, agriculture, commerce and sports.
Jiang said the province will follow the principle of “shaping tourism with culture and showcasing culture through tourism”.
As a result, officials will use Northeast China Football City League events to launch a travel brand called “Travel with Sports Events”.
Second, the conference will move beyond traditional event models by using more digital and intelligent technology.
At the main venue, organisers will set up a smart culture and tourism exhibition zone with “AI + tourism”, metaverse immersive tours and digital intangible cultural heritage experiences.
Third, the conference will seek wider international cooperation through Heilongjiang’s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Government and business representatives from 13 countries and regions have been invited to gather in Jixi on 8th and 9th July 2026.
According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province, the event is designed to raise the international profile of Heilongjiang’s culture and tourism sector and expand its global partnership network.
