Wellness Social Club Opens in Preston with Luxe, Social Self-Care

A premium wellness hub blending cutting-edge health tech, earthy luxury and social connection – now open in Melbourne’s north.

Imagine a place where cutting-edge health tech meets earthy luxury, where you can
recharge your body, reconnect with your mind, and hang out with your friends – all under
one beautiful roof. Welcome to Wellness Social Club, opening its doors on Saturday, 7
June 2025 in Preston.

Wellness Social Club is taking Melbourne by storm, with over 1,700 membership
enquiries flooding in before its grand opening. Far from a typical gym or day spa, this
innovative lifestyle destination blends sanctuary-like serenity with a vibrant social
scene, designed to empower Melburnians to live their best lives. Proving its unmatched
appeal, all 70 foundation memberships sold out two weeks ahead of the club’s launch,
signalling a new era of wellness and community in the city.

The Wellness Social Club is flipping the script on self-care by offering an affordable yet
premium experience, complete with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, full-body Red Light
Therapy, IV Vitamin Drips, Vagus Nerve Stimulation, BrainTap tech, and more. It’s one of
only a handful of places in Melbourne with a public-access to a medical grade
Hyperbaric Chamber – a serious drawcard for biohackers and wellness lovers alike.

And for those who like their self-care a little more grounded? There’s also Infrared and
traditional Saunas, Contrast Therapy, Yin Yoga, Breathwork, and Sound Healing –
making it the ultimate all-in-one spa destination in Melbourne’s north.

“Think of it as a health club meets a high-end lounge,” says co-founder Tamara O’Dowd,
who launched the venture alongside her son Ayman O’Dowd and business partner Ben
Gunning.

“We wanted to create a place that doesn’t just look after your physical health but
supports your emotional and social well-being too. It’s a place to unwind, catch up with
a friend, and reset – all in one visit.”

Inspired by a desire to make wellness more inclusive, sustainable, and social, the club’s
founders developed the concept over three years – combining state-of-the-art science
with a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe.

“After COVID, people are craving real connection. This is more than a health space – it’s
a movement,” Tamara says. “There’s nothing like it in the northern suburbs – and we’re
only just getting started.”

Memberships start at $69 per week, with four tiers designed to suit different lifestyles
and wellness goals.
