Boston Facility to Boost Manufacturing Capabilities
AdvanCell, an Australian radiopharmaceutical company, has announced the establishment of its U.S. Global Headquarters in Greater Boston, with a new 128,000-square-foot facility dedicated to manufacturing and corporate operations. This expansion is crucial for the development and commercialization of AdvanCell’s targeted alpha therapies, including ADVC001 and the Lead-212 pipeline.
Located in Andover’s Innovation Park, the facility will serve as the company’s flagship manufacturing centre in the U.S. It aims to support the company’s growth strategy and enhance its manufacturing capabilities. Andover’s location provides access to a world-class life science ecosystem, essential for the next phase of AdvanCell’s growth.
Philina Lee, CEO of AdvanCell, stated, “Establishing AdvanCell’s U.S. Global Headquarters and future manufacturing facility reinforces our commitment to U.S. Expansion and represents an important milestone in AdvanCell’s strategy to build a global, vertically integrated targeted alpha therapy company.”
Supporting Global Growth
AdvanCell’s expansion into the U.S. Complements its existing operations in Australia, creating a global platform for the development and supply of radiopharmaceuticals. The company intends to harness the strengths of its Australian operations, specifically rapid clinical translation and isotope supply capabilities, to advance its therapies.
In addition to the Andover facility, AdvanCell is collaborating with a contract development and manufacturing organisation to establish drug product manufacturing capabilities.
The TheraPb trial, evaluating ADVC001 in metastatic prostate cancer, is part of AdvanCell’s clinical development efforts. The trial is currently in its Phase 2 stage, focusing on efficacy and safety at different dose levels. The outcomes will help determine the potential for further development and eventual commercialization.
AdvanCell’s investment in the Andover facility underscores its commitment to expanding its footprint in the U.S. And its dedication to developing innovative cancer therapies. This move marks an important step in the company’s journey to becoming a leading global provider of targeted alpha therapies.
