Healthcare investment firm expands leadership team on 6th July 2026

Aztiq promoted David Olafsson, Danny Major and Eunsun Choi to Partner on 6th July 2026, adding three senior leaders at the healthcare-focused investment company.

The Reykjavik announcement credited the trio with major contributions to Aztiq’s growth, investment activity and long-term value creation across healthcare.

Aztiq works with purpose-driven pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies that aim to improve lives around the world.

The appointments support a leadership team with expertise in healthcare, investment, corporate development, finance, M&A and legal execution.

Robert Wessman statement

Founder and Chairman Robert Wessman said David Olafsson, Danny Major and Eunsun Choi had each played an important role in Aztiq’s development and in supporting portfolio companies.

Wessman said: “Their promotions to Partner recognise not only their individual achievements, but also the trust, judgement and dedication they bring to Aztiq and our partners and portfolio companies.”

He added that the three executives reflect the entrepreneurial, hands-on and long-term approach that defines Aztiq.

As Partners, Olafsson, Major and Choi will continue to support investment activities, portfolio company development and strategic initiatives across Aztiq’s healthcare-focused investment platform.

However, the 6th July 2026 statement did not assign separate new operating roles beyond the Partner title.

Instead, Aztiq emphasised continuity in portfolio support, strategic work and execution across its investment platform.

Robert Wessman said the promotions also recognised the trust and judgement the three bring to Aztiq, its partners and portfolio companies.
