Strategic Collaboration for Biologics Development

Dark Horse Consulting Group and Altruist Biologics announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance biologics manufacturing and development in China. On 3rd June 2026, the strategic partnership was revealed to accelerate the global commercialization of biologic therapies.

Combining their extensive expertise, Dark Horse and Altruist aim to provide a streamlined pathway for clinical and commercial-scale biologics manufacturing. Their collaboration leverages China’s advanced production infrastructure.

Global sponsors prioritise biologics manufacturing in China due to the country’s maturing regulatory environment, cost advantages, and world-class production infrastructure. This partnership is designed to help companies navigate China’s complex regulatory landscape effectively.

Located in Suzhou and Hangzhou, Altruist Biologics operates state-of-the-art cGMP facilities with a total production capacity of 232,000 litres. Four 20,000-litre bioreactors at its Hangzhou site support the production of monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

Navigating the Chinese Regulatory Landscape

Companies aiming to leverage China’s biomanufacturing capabilities will receive guidance on navigating complex regulatory requirements set by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). They will align manufacturing execution with global standards from the FDA and EMA.
