About events in Eltham

Eltham sits comfortably on the edge of urban Melbourne and the leafy beginnings of the Yarra Valley. With its rolling bushland, artsy spirit and local history, the suburb draws a steady stream of families, creatives and nature lovers. The atmosphere is relaxed, with village shops and cafes nestled alongside galleries and green spaces. The Eltham Library and Community Centre play host to book talks, workshops and exhibitions, while local halls and parks fill up with live music, markets and community gatherings.

We find that Eltham’s events scene is shaped by its people and landscape. Art and craft fairs, food festivals and sustainability talks are regular fixtures, often with a focus on local makers and seasonal produce. Trains run direct from the city on the Hurstbridge line, making the trip out both easy and scenic. Whether you are after a quiet evening concert or a bustling weekend market, Eltham’s calendar reflects the laid-back, creative energy of the area.
