The Comic's Lounge on Errol Street is a local go-to for catching comedians up close, and its North Melbourne setting means the atmosphere is always relaxed and a little bit rowdy. The venue itself is intimate, so you’re never too far from the action, and it draws a crowd that’s up for a proper night out. Rufus Rice’s live shows are known for their quick wit, offbeat stories and a knack for engaging with the audience, making each show feel a little unpredictable in the best way. This is definitely a night for adults who enjoy a mix of smart and irreverent comedy, with an edge that’s hard to find at bigger, more polished events. If you follow Rufus online or just love stand-up that doesn’t pull punches, this is your kind of night. The inclusion of music and the possibility of being part of the filming adds a bit of extra buzz.
