WitchFest: a free family-friendly witch market by day, transforming into a dark carnival of music, magic, drinks and mischief by night.

Seaworks

82 Nelson Place, Williamstown, VIC

A free family-friendly witch market by day. And come evening? A dark, deliciously strange carnival.

WitchFest is taking over the Seaworks precinct for one huge day of witchcraft, shopping, food, fortune-telling, carnival games, music and mischief.

From 9:30am–4:30pm, come wander the FREE WitchFest Market – a family-friendly celebration of all things magical, mystical and wonderfully weird.

Then at 5pm, the lights go down, the bar opens, the music gets louder and WitchFest transforms into the WitchFest Carnival – a ticketed evening of DJs, performers, drinks, carnival amusements and after-dark witchery.

Seaworks is a fitting backdrop for WitchFest, with its maritime warehouses adding a touch of old-world mystery to the day’s market and the night’s carnival. Strolling through the stalls, you’ll spot everything from handmade talismans to tarot readers, all against the view of the bay and city skyline. Locals love how relaxed and friendly it feels, and there’s always something unexpected around every corner. WitchFest is perfect for anyone who appreciates a little weirdness, whether you’re bringing the kids for the daytime fun or rounding up mates for a nocturnal adventure. The evening carnival is what sets this event apart from other markets: expect a wilder, more theatrical side of Melbourne that you won’t find at your usual suburban fair.

Insider tip
It’s mostly outdoors, so bring a jacket for the evening sea breeze.
