About this event
At the edge of winter, we arrive at Yule, the deepest hush of the year, where darkness stretches long and the world turns inward. This is the sacred pause, the liminal space between what has been and what is yet to rise.
Yule is the dreamtime, the moment where rest is not absence, but medicine. Where stillness becomes fertile ground. Where the smallest spark of light is reborn in the unseen.
At Temple Maenad, we gather in an evening candlelit ritual to honour this threshold. Together, we will descend gently into the dark, into reflection, into the soft unraveling of the outer world. Through guided ritual, we will awaken the dreaming self, tending the quiet visions that live beneath waking life.
We will honour rest as sacred. We will make space for stillness. We will kindle the first ember of returning light.
In the longest night, we remember: the light is already on its way.
Join us for a deeply immersive Yule Ritual & Celebration where we will: • Gently attune to the rhythms of nature and the seasonal shift • Explore the historical and spiritual roots of this sacred marker • Enter a heartfelt Ritual to honour the turning wheel and return of the sun • Experience a guided meditation and renewal ritual to awaken dreams and the year ahead • Engage in simple spellcraft by creating wreaths and wish candles as symbols of cycles and reinvention
