Intermedium acquisition expands Public Sector Network Group

Intermedium keeps its brand in PSN Group

Public Sector Network Group acquired Intermedium on 1 July 2025, bringing together two established businesses serving the ANZ government sector.

The deal combines Public Sector Network’s work in relationships, events and peer connection with Intermedium’s analysis of government policies, contracts, tenders and budgets.

Intermedium will continue as an independent business under its own brand. Existing clients on both sides are expected to see no disruption as the companies build a broader offer.

That offer will bring together market intelligence, direct engagement and strategic advisory in one relationship for government-sector suppliers.

Ross Ashman on procurement

Ross Ashman, chief executive of Public Sector Network Group, said: “Public sector leaders deserve private sector partners who have done their homework.”

Ashman said the acquisition means vendors can arrive better informed, while government gets more relevant and better prepared industry partners.

He added: “That is better for procurement, better for outcomes, and better for the relationship between the two sectors.”

Judy Hurditch, managing director of Intermedium, said the company’s mission would stay the same after the 1 July 2025 deal.

Hurditch said: “Intermedium was built on the belief that better conversations between industry and government start with better information.”

She said the main change was scale, as Intermedium joins a larger group with Public Sector Network and Future Government Institute.

Hurditch added: “The result is something our sector has not had before: a single group with the intelligence to know where government is heading and the relationships to matter when it gets there.”

Albert Kruger, general manager ANZ at PSN Group, said suppliers in Australia and New Zealand need more than a presence in the market.

Kruger said those suppliers also need to understand the sector and be trusted within it.

PSN Group comprises Public Sector Network, Intermedium and Future Government Institute, with each business operating independently.

Public Sector Network has operated for more than 10 years across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States.

Its work includes events, professional development and digital platforms for government-sector leaders and suppliers.

Intermedium adds detailed intelligence on budgets, tenders, contracts and policy settings across the ANZ government sector.

As a result, the combined group aims to offer both market intelligence and direct access to public sector relationships across the region.
