Coles adds ham for the first time
Coles has added ham to its Christmas in July range for the first time, with the limited-edition line available throughout July 2026 while stocks last.
The new Coles Pull Apart Ham with Smokey Maple Glaze costs $25 per kilogram. It features slow-cooked pork in a sweet, sticky maple glaze and is ready to heat and eat.
Shoppers can also buy the Coles Finest Free-Range Triple Smoked Leg Ham Portion for $17 per kilogram. Both hams are selling at the same price they were during Christmas 2025.
To round out the meal, customers can add Coles Finest Frozen Duck Fat Australian Potatoes and Coles Finest Triple Smoked Ham & Three Cheese Croquettes.
Festive desserts have also returned to shelves in July 2026. Coles Christmas Traditional Fruit Mince Pies in a 360g pack cost $4.30, while Coles Christmas Apple & Rhubarb Pies in a 360g pack cost $6.25.
The Traditional Fruit Mince Pies launched at a lower price than the same period in 2025. Coles will keep them on shelves until Christmas 2026, or while stocks last.
Michael Weldon backs winter feast
Coles Development and Innovation Chef Michael Weldon said: “There’s something special about sitting down to a glazed ham, crispy roast potatoes and festive desserts on a cold winter’s day.”
According to Coles, the wider range gives customers options for a traditional roast, easy entertaining platters and desserts with less preparation at home. The retailer positioned the launch around mid-year gatherings in winter.
Weldon also said the range now includes ham for the first time, making it easier to create a festive meal at home with minimal preparation.
Meanwhile, social media interest in the event has risen. TikTok searches for “Christmas in July” increased 38.3% in the past month, according to Coles.
As a result, Coles expects customers to buy festive favourites earlier in 2026. The supermarket sold more than 1 million packets of fruit mince pies in 2025, and some varieties sold out well before Christmas.
Following that demand, Coles is offering the July 2026 range for several occasions, from family dinners to sharing platters and seasonal treats. The products will be sold throughout July 2026 while stocks last.
