About Us

When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.

About the Role

The Fundraising Administrator provides essential administrative support across donor care and fundraising operations. The role maintains accurate donor records, processes donations, and supports reconciliation and reporting activities to help ensure the smooth delivery of fundraising programs. It also responds to enquiries and assists with supporter communications, contributing to a positive donor experience and strong fundraising outcomes. Based in RFDS Victoria's Collins Street office, the position offers hybrid working arrangements and works within the Fundraising and Partnerships directorate.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and fundraising records across relevant systems.

Process donations and associated documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Support donor communications through database updates, list management and record maintenance.

Respond to supporter, stakeholder and internal enquiries professionally and efficiently.

Assist with fundraising reporting, reconciliations and routine data quality checks.

Provide administrative support to the Fundraising and Partnerships team across day-to-day activities.

Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and service providers to support fundraising initiatives as required.

Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance processes, workflows and data quality.

To be successful, you will need:

Experience in an administrative, customer service, fundraising support or similar role.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and supporter-focused approach.

High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and data.

Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and a range of digital systems and databases.

Experience processing transactions, reconciliations or administrative documentation with accuracy.

The ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.

Five non-accruable Office Closure Leave days each year

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
