Leadership Transition at Johns Manville
Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has announced the appointment of John Vasuta as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st August 2026. Vasuta will succeed Bob Wamboldt, who is set to retire after a distinguished career with the company.
Vasuta joined Johns Manville in 2019 and has been serving as the President of the Engineered Products division. he is a member of the Board of Directors for EJ, which is a global leader in manufacturing infrastructure access products.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Vasuta stated, "It’s an extraordinary privilege to step into the role of CEO. I’m deeply honored to continue serving our customers and supporting the employees whose dedication makes our success possible."
Before his tenure at Johns Manville, Vasuta held key leadership roles at Bridgestone Corp., including President of Firestone Building Products International and Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing & Operations. He holds degrees in Engineering, an MBA, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron.
Bob Wamboldt's Legacy
Bob Wamboldt joined Johns Manville in 2003. During his tenure, he led the company's three main businesses: Engineered Products, Roofing Systems, and Insulation Systems before being named President and CEO in 2020. His leadership saw the company achieve significant milestones and growth.
