Compact and Energy-Efficient for Small Spaces

Levoit has launched its Core Mini air purifier in Australia on May 20, 2026. This product offers a compact and energy-efficient solution for small living spaces as households face rising living costs.

In 2026, Australian households are experiencing a 4.2% increase in living expenses. In response, Levoit presents the Core Mini as a cost-effective appliance. Designed for smaller spaces, it operates at just 7W, providing energy-efficient air purification.

Oscar Mei, Levoit Australia’s air purifier specialist, highlights the importance of matching purifier size to room dimensions. “Most inefficiencies we see in homes come from mismatched sizing, either too much power for small rooms, or too little coverage for larger open spaces,” he explains.

The Importance of Room Size

In compact environments, oversized air purifiers can lead to unnecessary energy use. The Core Mini is tailored for small, enclosed spaces, making it ideal for renters, students, and smaller households due to its portability and lightweight design.

The device weighs only 1kg and includes an aromatherapy function, adding comfort to personal spaces. It is currently the only compact air purifier of its kind available in Australia, focusing on efficient and consistent air filtration.

High-capacity models like the Core 400S and Core 600S are better suited for larger or open-plan spaces. These areas require greater airflow and stronger filtration.

Mei emphasises, “Small spaces don’t require high-capacity machines. What matters is consistent filtration without unnecessary energy consumption.”

The Core Mini’s portability allows easy movement between rooms. This feature is particularly useful for those who rent or live in small spaces.

As Australians increasingly prioritise indoor air quality and energy efficiency, the Core Mini meets these demands. It reflects a broader shift towards more efficient and intentional home living, aligning with the growing focus on right-sized and energy-conscious appliances.
