Over 500 Muslim Women Gather for Sydney Convention

Faith and Wellbeing at the Heart of the Event

More than 500 Muslim women and girls are set to gather at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia’s largest mosque in Western Sydney for the Annual Religious Knowledge Convention. This event takes place from the 8th to the 10th of May 2026. As a significant gathering, the convention serves the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Women’s Auxiliary.

Participants from across Australia will join the National Convention 2026, which aims to foster faith, wellbeing, and personal growth over the weekend. The Women’s Auxiliary will host this event, featuring academic competitions and sessions at the Lajna Hub. Topics include ‘Healthy Ageing and Enhancing Brain Function’, ‘Spiritual Readiness for Marriage’, and ‘Raising Divinely Anchored Children’.

Young attendees will benefit from the Nasirat Hub, specifically designed for girls. Sessions will explore ‘Friendship: Choosing the Right Circle’ and ‘Circadian Rhythm: Micro-habits and Our Precious Brains’. sporting activities will be available for all ages, promoting physical wellbeing alongside spiritual and intellectual development.

The convention, according to organizers, provides a platform for connection, reflection, and empowerment. Attendees will gain practical tools to navigate modern life with faith and purpose. Networking opportunities and personal growth are key aspects, highlighting the importance of community support.

Activities commence on Friday, May 8th, at 3:30 pm, continuing through Saturday, May 9th, and Sunday, May 10th, from 11 am onwards. Located at 45 Hollinsworth Road, Marsden Park, the event includes complimentary lunch and dinner. It is a women-only event, open to media and guests.
