Free public entry runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday 9 August
North Sydney Olympic Pool will reopen to the public on Friday 7 August at 4 Alfred Street, Milsons Point. Free entry will start on Friday afternoon after the official opening ceremony and will continue until Sunday 9 August.
First opened in 1936, the venue returns in its 90th anniversary year. North Sydney Olympic Pool also holds the record for the most world records set at any pool.
Across the opening weekend, visitors can use the 50m heated outdoor pool, the 25m indoor lap pool and the indoor programme pool. Families can also access the children’s pool, splash pad, spa, sauna and steam room.
50m pool and gym tours
The free weekend also includes self-guided tours of the gym, group fitness studios, sun deck and gelato bar. According to the venue information, the wider facility includes a reformer Pilates studio, swim school, crèche and café.
Full gym access and group fitness classes will begin on Monday 10 August. Following the free weekend, visitors will no longer be limited to tours of those areas.
Family-friendly activities and entertainment will run from Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August. As a result, opening weekend will cover swimming, leisure spaces and activities for children.
