Life Hub Bayside opens in Bentleigh with strength training, Pilates, recovery and allied health under one roof
Life Hub has opened a new Bayside facility in Bentleigh, marking the Victorian fitness business’s latest expansion and its largest project to date.
The new site is based at Bayside Junction on Nepean Highway and follows earlier growth from the company’s original Moorabbin location, which opened in 2014. Life Hub later expanded to Geelong in 2023 after periods where demand exceeded capacity.
The Bayside facility places group strength and conditioning at the centre of the business. According to Life Hub, the site includes one of Australia’s largest dedicated group strength and conditioning spaces.
It also adds infrared heated mat classes, Reformer Pilates, yoga, breathwork, recovery facilities, a 24/7 members’ gym, allied health services and shared member spaces.
The move gives Life Hub a broader base in Melbourne’s south-east and builds on the company’s coach-led model, which focuses on training, recovery and health support in one location.
Founder Chris Cannon said the business grew from his own experience in the fitness industry and his interest in creating a more supportive training environment.
“I’ve been a trainer for 20 years, and in many ways Life Hub became the place I wished I’d had access to when I was struggling with my own physical and mental wellbeing,” said Founder Chris Cannon.
“Over the years, I’ve learned that lasting change is rarely about knowing what to do. It’s about creating an environment that helps people keep showing up.”
Recovery and allied health sit alongside training
Recovery is a key part of the Bayside site. The facility includes a traditional sauna, magnesium mineral spa, cold pool, infrared saunas and compression recovery.
Life Hub has also added allied health and coaching services, including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, dietetics, pre and postnatal support and one-on-one coaching.
The wider site includes a community lounge, workshops, educational events and shared recovery spaces. The business describes this as part of its “Third Space” approach, sitting between home and work.
Cannon said the social side of training had become central to how Life Hub works.
“When people train alongside others who are committed to improving themselves, something powerful happens. They challenge each other, encourage each other, and often achieve more than they thought possible.”
The business received Mindbody’s Best Vibe Studio award in 2025, recognising its culture and member experience.
