Extensive Drilling and Assessment Plans Unveiled

The largest field programme to date has been launched by Q2 Metals Corp. At the Cisco Lithium Project in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada, as announced on May 27, 2026. Strategically positioned just 6.5 km from the Billy Diamond Highway, the project benefits from easy access to rail and deep sea ports. Approximately 20,000 metres of drilling will be conducted this summer, focusing on the main Cisco deposit area.

Infill drilling aims to convert existing Inferred resources to Indicated. Plans also include significant expansion and regional exploration-scale drilling around the resource area and on other high-priority targets. The current Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate highlights a pit-constrained resource of 270 million tonnes grading 1.36% Li2O and an underground-constrained resource of 24 million tonnes grading 1.34% Li2O.

Q2 Metals has initiated a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) of the project, which is expected to be published in Fall 2026. Advanced metallurgical test work is underway, with results anticipated in the coming months. The Cisco Deposit is recognised as the largest hard rock lithium deposit in the western hemisphere and the fourth largest globally.

Having completed a C$70 million financing, Q2 Metals is financially equipped to accelerate activities as necessary. Environmental baseline studies have started, and assays are pending for 17 drill holes completed during the winter drill programme. This financial backing allows Q2 Metals to maintain momentum and pursue further exploration opportunities.

Neil McCallum, VP Exploration and Director, highlighted the project’s potential, noting: “The Cisco Deposit remains open in all directions and several known spodumene pegmatite outcrops in and around the Cisco Deposit have yet to be drill tested.”

Exploration by Q2 Metals will continue through September 2026, aiming to advance the Cisco Project while preparing for significant developments in the lithium market. Because of this, the company is well-positioned to respond to future market demands and technological advancements in lithium extraction and processing.
