Sexpo to Revert to Original Format
Sexpo, Australia's premier adult lifestyle expo, is set to make a significant return to Perth this September, following its reacquisition by founder David Ross. The event will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18th to 20th September 2026.
After the previous operator, Australian Exhibition Group Pty. Ltd., went into liquidation in October 2024, Sexpo's future seemed uncertain. However, Ross, known as 'Mr. Sexpo', has regained control of the brand. He promises a reset and a return to the event's inclusive and entertainment-focused roots.
Ross stated, "This isn’t just a relaunch, it’s a reset, Sexpo 2.0." He emphasised a focus on female-friendly events that provide a space for fun and celebration, extending beyond purely sex-related content.
Partnership with AdultShop
To bolster its comeback, Sexpo has announced a partnership with AdultShop, which will become the naming rights partner for the Perth event, now officially titled The AdultShop Sexpo. AdultShop CEO Karl Frost expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting the strong relationship between the two entities.
"As the largest retailer of adult products in Western Australia, with 12 shops, we will have a major presence at The AdultShop Sexpo," Frost stated. He added that AdultShop will offer a 15% discount on tickets through its retail outlets starting 14th May.
The event will feature a diverse range of exhibitors, including spa pool sales, glamour photography studios, fashion and accessories, beauty services, and live entertainment. Organisers aim to restore the broad appeal that initially made Sexpo popular with a wide audience.
Sexpo, which first began in 1996, has grown into an internationally recognised event. At its peak, it attracted up to 68,000 attendees in its early years. The 2026 event aims to draw large numbers of attendees and re-establish itself as a key fixture on Perth's events calendar.
