First New Zealand Event in 2026 Programme
SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia announced that the SWIMInfo Christchurch event on 9th May 2026 at the Parakiore Aquatic Centre is completely sold out. This marks the first SWIMInfo session in New Zealand under the 2026 programme, indicating strong demand for professional aquatic education.
The Christchurch event is part of a broader series of SWIMInfo sessions across Australia and New Zealand. May 2026 will be a particularly busy period, with multiple events planned. These sessions aim to offer valuable professional development for swimming teachers, coaches, and aquatic industry professionals.
Brendon Ward, CEO of SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia, stated, “The strong response in Christchurch shows the value of gathering the industry in local settings. It allows professionals to engage with relevant topics, share experiences, and return with practical ideas they can apply immediately.”
SWIMInfo events tackle key challenges in the aquatic industry, focusing on consistency in delivery, team alignment, and meeting growing parent expectations. By providing structured and practical professional development, these sessions support the daily operations of swim educators.
Upcoming SWIMInfo Events Across Australia
Following the Christchurch event, eight additional SWIMInfo events will occur throughout May in Australia. These sessions will take place in various regions, including Wagga Wagga, Gladstone, Tweed Heads, Cairns, Toowoomba, and parts of Victoria. Each event is tailored to regional needs, offering participants strategies that can be implemented immediately.
SWIM has offered professional development to the aquatic industry since 1971, focusing on practical education and building industry connections. Events are inclusive and open to both members and non-members.
Each SWIMInfo event is customised to address the specific requirements of the region, ensuring relevant content and actionable insights for all participants.

Participants can expect sessions that emphasise practical application, with clear frameworks and relevant examples. The aim is to empower attendees to apply new strategies effectively within their teams and on the pool deck.
