SEATTLE — XBOW, a leader in autonomous offensive security, has raised $120 million in a Series C funding round, the company announced this week. The investment, led by DFJ Growth and Northzone, values the company at over $1 billion.

The funding will enable XBOW to expand its AI-driven security platform, which helps organisations defend against modern cyber threats. XBOW’s CEO, Oege de Moor, stated that the company is poised to scale operations and broaden its market presence, particularly in enterprise sectors.

Ramin Sayar, a venture partner at DFJ Growth, will join XBOW’s board of directors. The company plans to use the funds to enhance its product offerings and accelerate international growth.

AI-Driven Security Revolution

XBOW’s platform leverages AI to simulate real-world attack techniques, providing continuous security testing at machine speed. This approach addresses the limitations of traditional penetration testing, which struggles to keep pace with rapid development cycles and AI-powered attackers.

Barry Schuler from DFJ Growth highlighted XBOW’s pioneering role in applying innovative AI technology to offensive security, a move that has garnered significant market interest. Similarly, Sanjot Malhi of Northzone emphasised XBOW’s emergence as a key player, with major enterprises already integrating its technology into their security strategies.

The announcement comes as the cybersecurity landscape increasingly turns towards AI and automation to counter sophisticated threats. XBOW’s achievements in deploying autonomous systems in live environments underscore its potential to redefine industry standards.

In addition to expanding its technological capabilities, XBOW plans to invest in talent acquisition and partnerships to further solidify its position as a market leader. This strategic focus aims to foster innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity sector. The company’s commitment to addressing the ever-changing threat landscape ensures that it remains at the forefront of security solutions, providing clients with the tools necessary to safeguard their digital assets.
