Partnership to Tokenize U.S.
Mined Antimony and Expand into Rare Earth Elements
SYDNEY — American Strategic Minerals Inc. (ASMI) and Datavault AI have announced a groundbreaking partnership to tokenize U.S. Mined and refined metals, including antimony, marking a significant step in the digital monetization of critical minerals. The partnership, revealed on March 26, aims to develop ASMI’s resource extraction projects in Arizona through a $78.2 million digital tokenization initiative.
According to a joint statement, the first element to be tokenized will be antimony, with plans to also include gold, silver, and copper. Datavault AI is set to earn up to a 20% equity interest in ASMI upon reaching specific performance milestones. Craig Wiita, Co-founder and President of ASMI, emphasised the alignment of values and vision with Datavault AI in promoting responsible mining practices.
ASMI’s antimony resource, located in Arizona, is poised to become the first U.S. Critical defence mineral to be tokenized, integrating Datavault AI’s patented digital financial infrastructure. This initiative aims to unlock value from high-grade domestic antimony assets, with ASMI expected to receive up to $68.8 million from the tokenization process.
Tokenization Initiative and Industry Context
Nathaniel Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, highlighted the transformative potential of tokenizing assets like antimony and other rare earth elements through smart contracts, enhancing resource infrastructure modernization. This collaboration addresses the growing need for a secure domestic supply chain for strategic minerals, as the U.S. Seeks to reduce reliance on foreign-controlled sources.
The partnership comes amid increasing geopolitical pressure on supply chains and a strategic push by the U.S. To strengthen its critical mineral independence. ASMI’s strategy includes leveraging its Nevada processing facility and exploring commercial opportunities with global partners, such as those in South Korea, to establish a robust supply chain for defence materials.
