Innovative Solutions for Australia's Charging Needs

On 9th June, Autel Energy presented its latest advancements in electric vehicle (EV) charging technology at the 'Powering the Future – Autel 2026 EV Charging Innovation Seminar' in Sydney. Industry stakeholders gathered to explore innovations tailored for Australia's energy infrastructure.

Among the cutting-edge solutions unveiled was the DH120 Ultra Slim DC Charger, featuring a compact design with a cabinet depth of 25 cm and a footprint of less than 0.16 m². This charger supports simultaneous charging for two vehicles with up to 97 per cent efficiency.

Autel introduced Australia’s first charging solution with reactive power compensation, which acts as a 'grid stabilizer' through controllable power factor adjustment technology. This innovation marks a significant breakthrough in grid-aware charging.

Fleet-Focused and Integrated Energy Solutions

In the realm of fleet operations, a '1+1 primary-backup switching' terminal was introduced by Autel, providing hardware-level redundancy to ensure zero downtime and business continuity. The smart AC charger, supporting direct photovoltaic (PV) connections, allows households to use surplus solar energy for EV charging, reducing electricity costs.

The iGreen Charging Solution was presented as an integrated solar-storage-charging ecosystem. It is powered by an AI-driven energy management platform that dynamically optimizes energy dispatch and load forecasting, improving power utilization and reducing operational costs.

Mosen Wang, Special Consultant to the Chairman of Autel, highlighted their strategy built on power electronics and AI intelligence. Henry He, CEO of Autel APAC Region, stated, “Australia faces unique challenges, including limited commercial land availability, grid stability constraints, and stringent uptime requirements for fleet operations, which will be addressed by Autel’s space-efficient design, intelligent grid interaction technology, and hardware-level zero-interruption capabilities.”

As Australia accelerates its shift to electrification and renewable energy, Autel Energy aims to contribute significantly to the development of a smart, connected, and sustainable energy infrastructure. Discussions at the seminar concluded with insights on the future of EV charging and energy management in Australia.

The seminar began with a video address from Li Hongjing (Frank Li), Chairman of Autel, who reaffirmed the company's commitment to building a smarter, more connected, and sustainable charging infrastructure ecosystem.
