Enhancing Connectivity and Governance
Boomi and Couchbase announced a partnership on May 13th to advance the deployment of enterprise AI agents, aiming to enhance their accuracy, performance, and operational governance. This collaboration will combine Boomi’s connectivity and governance capabilities with Couchbase’s operational data platform.
Enterprises deploying AI agents today face a common challenge: agents perform well in pilots but struggle to scale due to inconsistent access to trusted context, recollection, and real-time business data. The partnership addresses these challenges by integrating Boomi’s data connectivity and governance with Couchbase’s scalable recollection capabilities, providing a production-ready foundation for AI operations.
Ed Macosky, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Boomi, said, “2026 is the year organisations move from AI experimentation to activation at scale. The challenge isn’t building agents, it’s giving them the data, memory, and governance they need to operate in real enterprise environments.” By partnering with Couchbase, they are creating a unified foundation for AI to run securely and efficiently.
Unified Platform for AI Operations
This partnership will enable AI agents to use live, trusted enterprise data and maintain context across interactions. Boomi’s platform provides integration across applications, data sources, and lifecycle management. Meanwhile, Couchbase offers real-time data access and semantic retrieval capabilities.
Barry Morris, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Couchbase, highlighted the demand for agentic applications that drive revenue and operational efficiency. He said, “Customers are looking to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage through agentic applications.” The partnership will deliver trusted data access and enterprise-grade governance necessary for operationalizing AI across businesses.
The collaboration benefits enterprises already using over 90,000 AI agents on the Boomi Enterprise Platform. Agents will now have enhanced capabilities to maintain context, retrieve business information quickly, and adhere to governance standards. The integration of these platforms is expected to reduce compute costs and improve productivity and revenue for organisations.
As a result of this collaboration, enterprises can expect significant advancements in how AI agents operate within production environments. By providing a comprehensive solution that combines active data foundations and real-time operational data access, Boomi and Couchbase aim to transform the landscape of enterprise AI.
