Lightning Transforms Field Service Management

Simpro Group launched Lightning, a new AI-native operating platform, on 13th May. This platform aims to revolutionise the management of field service trades across Australia, New Zealand, North America, the UK, and Europe.

Lightning integrates with existing solutions like Simpro, AroFlo, and BigChange. It incorporates AI features that enhance functionality, provide instant data-driven answers, and support digital workflows without expanding human resources.

At the core of Lightning is Cooper, an AI entity acting as a virtual business partner. Cooper streamlines communications, preemptively identifies issues, and adapts to each business's operational rhythms.

AI Agents Enhance Workforce Efficiency

The launch includes four AI agents: FieldReady, JobReady, JobScribe, and JobBrief. These agents perform roles such as training, job preparation, documentation, and customer communication, traditionally requiring multiple staff members.

Fred Voccola, Chairman and CEO of Simpro Group, stated, "When AI is built into the platform and not stapled to it, the platform itself gets smarter, faster and more useful every single week."

The platform aims to increase profitability in the field service industry, which typically sees profit margins of just 5% to 10% despite its critical role in society. By embedding AI into its core operations, Simpro Group provides businesses with tools to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Josh Ginchereau, Director of Operations at Garden State Security Group, noted the impact, saying, "This instantly improves the way our team works, and I can already see what this is going to do for our profits."

Simpro Group's Lightning represents a significant shift towards AI-driven field service management. It promises continuous product improvements and introduces new AI agents to further support the field service workforce. The platform ships routine feature requests in weeks rather than quarters, ensuring rapid adaptation to customer needs.

Unlike retrofit AI offerings common across the SaaS landscape, Lightning was designed from the ground up for field service trades. It is not a bolt-on or add-on but a foundational operating layer that transforms operations with Cooper's intelligence.
