Four wines from California’s best-known regions join a Yellowstone Bourbon cocktail inspired by the Whiskey Sour.
California Wine Month and Bourbon Heritage Month have arrived at Reine & La Rue, where four wines from across the state will be poured by the glass throughout September.

The Melbourne restaurant’s selection moves from Hartford Court Sevens Bench Chardonnay from Carneros to the 2021 Robert Mondavi Fumé Blanc and 2021 Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon, both from Napa Valley.
Also on the list is the 2024 Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County. Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon was famously tasted blind at the 1976 Judgment of Paris.

For bourbon drinkers, Reine & La Rue is serving a Whiskey Sour-inspired cocktail built around Yellowstone Bourbon, mandarin, lemon, toasted rice orgeat and pastis.

Callie Poole, Head Sommelier at Reine & La Rue, said the United States was already one of the venue’s three wine-list focuses, alongside France and Australia.
“The United States has always been an important part of our wine program, so September gives us a great opportunity to lean further into that and introduce guests to some exceptional California wines alongside American Bourbon,” Poole said.
The wines will be available by the glass or bottle throughout September at Reine & La Rue.
