Revolutionizing Copper Market with Coppercoin Tokenization

on

Launch Set for Second Quarter 2026

Datavault AI Inc. And Coppercore Inc. Have announced a landmark partnership to tokenize significant copper resources using digital tokens named Coppercoin. The initiative targets an initial issuance of $100 million, set to launch by the end of the second quarter of 2026. Coppercoin tokens will represent pro-rata ownership interests in the underlying high-grade copper resources, with each token linked to five pounds of copper. Pricing is based on the COMEX benchmark, providing transparency and market alignment.

The transaction enables Datavault AI to deploy its patented IDE®, DataScore®, and DataValue® blockchain tokenization platform. This technology aims to create Coppercoin digital tokens that offer fractional, transparent, and liquid digital ownership. Nathaniel T. Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, stated: “Today’s agreement with Coppercore represents a major milestone in our global RWA tokenization strategy. By tokenizing copper resources, we deliver institutional-grade, verifiable, and liquid digital ownership to investors while directly supporting the critical minerals supply chain that powers AI, electrification, and the energy transition.”

Global demand for copper is expected to increase significantly, with Wood Mackenzie projecting a 24% rise by 2035 and S&P Global forecasting up to a 50% increase by 2040. This surge is driven by the expansion of AI data centres, electrification, and global energy systems. Coppercoin aims to align investors’ returns with these market dynamics, providing a compliant and straightforward pathway to participate in the copper market opportunity. Antonio Treminio, CEO of Coppercore, emphasised the partnership’s potential to accelerate value creation from copper assets. He stated: “This collaboration provides a compliant digital trading pathway, upgrading processes and enabling future production of copper industrial products like Cu concentrate, Cu cement, and Cu refined copper.”

Copper is essential for powering the global energy transition, AI infrastructure, renewable energy systems, and decarbonization efforts. As supply constraints risk significant deficits, Coppercoin offers a modern solution for investors seeking to engage with the copper market while supporting sustainable development goals. The tokenization of copper resources makes the market accessible to global investors 24/7, overcoming the complexities of traditional copper markets that primarily trade on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and Commodities Exchange Inc. (COMEX). Coppercoin introduces a new digital asset class that delivers market efficiencies and opportunities, including upgrades of processes and the future production of copper industrial products such as Cu concentrate, Cu cement, and Cu refined copper (“Cathodes”).

According to industry experts, copper’s role as a foundational metal in the global energy transition cannot be understated. The introduction of Coppercoin not only democratizes the market but also aligns with sustainable practices in the industry. Meanwhile, the initial $100 million programme is scheduled for launch, making tokenized copper accessible to global investors around the clock. This advancement signifies a pivotal shift in how investors can engage with and benefit from the evolving copper market landscape.

the partnership between Datavault AI and Coppercore marks a significant advancement in tokenizing real-world assets, specifically copper. The Coppercoin initiative stands poised to set a new industry standard in tokenized copper, providing a transparent, accessible, and efficient investment vehicle for the global market.
