Free Education Sessions Scheduled for June
Dementia Australia will conduct support sessions in Mt Isa and Cloncurry, Queensland, through a series of free educational programmes from 2nd to 4th June 2026.
An estimated 88,200 people are living with dementia in Queensland, and without medical breakthroughs, this number could exceed 168,000 by 2054. Dementia Australia aims to provide essential support and education to those affected by the condition.
The sessions offer an opportunity for individuals living with dementia, their carers, and families to gain a better understanding of the condition and explore available support services. Programmes include the ‘Carer Wellness programme’ and ‘Memory & Ageing Session’ in Mt Isa and Cloncurry.
