Supporting Blockchain Integration in Finance
On October 2023, DFNS announced a significant rebrand, evolving from a wallet infrastructure provider to the first core banking platform for digital assets. This transformation positions the company to support fintechs and institutions as they transition operations onto blockchain technology.
The rebranding includes a new logo, website, and market position. Financial entities are increasingly seeking to run products and services on blockchain rails, moving beyond simply adding crypto capabilities to integrating comprehensive financial controls and workflows.
Clarisse Hage8ge, CEO of DFNS, stated, “DFNS was built on a simple assumption. Most financial flows will move from ledgers to blockchains. Institutions don’t need a wallet. They need a new core system to manage both classic assets and digital assets.”
Comprehensive Platform Features
DFNS offers a platform that consolidates wallet-as-a-service capabilities, key management, transaction processing, data integrity, governance, and policy enforcement. This integration spans across more than 100 blockchains and third-party services.
Unlike other providers, DFNS operates purely as a technology platform, avoiding custody of assets and direct interaction with end clients. This approach ensures institutions maintain control while modernizing their operations with onchain solutions.
The rebrand includes a new visual identity and product narrative centred around critical workflows like wallets, transactions, policies, approvals, compliance, issuance, and asset management. Existing APIs, contracts, and integrations remain unchanged.
DFNS is trusted by over 400 institutions and fintechs worldwide. The company manages over e4100 billion in assets and processes approximately 1% of the global stablecoin volume monthly. Since 2020, DFNS has reported zero security breaches or key losses.
Many banks, fintechs, asset managers, trading firms, payment providers, and clearing houses have ceased questioning how to add crypto. Instead, they now explore running financial products, controls, and client services on blockchain with the reliability expected of core infrastructure.
DFNS serves as an infrastructure layer, bridging the gap between a company’s existing systems and the blockchains where digital assets move, settle, and create value. The platform’s focus is not on custody or brokerage but on providing a pure technology solution that enhances control and modernization.
