Pilot and Demonstration Campaigns Begin in WA
EnviroGold Global Limited has commenced the next phase of its Greens Creek project in Fremantle, Western Australia, with the arrival of tailings from Hecla Mining Company on April 21, 2026. The company is advancing its clean technology solutions to recover precious and critical metals from mine waste.
Following the successful completion of Phase 1 and Phase 2 test work on March 2, 2026, the project will now progress to the Phase 3 micro NVRO pilot plant campaign. Operating at approximately 50 kg per day, this phase allows for detailed process validation and technical evaluation.
Phase 4 will involve a commercial-scale demonstration campaign, aiming to process about 300 tonnes per annum. This milestone is essential for the commercial deployment of the NVRO Process.
The pilot and demonstration phases are designed to validate the NVRO Process at increasing scales. They will provide essential data for commercial deployment, including insights into operational efficiencies and product saleability.
Commercial Validation Goals
Extensive sampling and analysis of the Greens Creek feedstock will be conducted to confirm the process’s ability to produce saleable materials. The completion of these phases is anticipated by late August 2026, subject to third-party laboratory turnaround times.
EnviroGold CEO Grant Freeman stated, “The arrival of Greens Creek tailings in Fremantle enables the commencement of our pilot and demonstration campaigns, marking the next stage of validation for the NVRO Process on one of the most significant opportunities in our pipeline.”
The programme aims to confirm process performance at increasing scales, produce material for assessment of product quality and saleability, and define commercial pathways for primary product streams and potential by-products.
EnviroGold aims to elevate the NVRO Process to Technology Readiness Level 8, indicating commercial validation. This progression will set the stage for eventual full-scale industrial production at TRL 9, representing full industrial-scale commercial production.
Completion of this and other client campaigns is expected to reduce technical and execution risks, supporting project development and commercial engagement. The programme provides a pathway toward revenue-generating deployments. EnviroGold’s broader campaign portfolio focuses on advancing the NVRO Process toward TRL 9, supporting advancement in the clean technology sector.
The successful completion of the Greens Creek programme will support progression to TRL 8, offering technical and commercial data required to advance process maturity. The analysis will help define commercial pathways and confirm product saleability, crucial for full-scale deployment.
