About events in Mount Waverley

Mount Waverley sits comfortably in Melbourne’s leafy east, offering a peaceful break from the city’s bustle without losing its sense of community and activity. Known for its wide, tree-lined streets and established gardens, the suburb brings together families, students and long-time residents. The local shopping village on Stephensons Road is a gathering point, with independent cafes, bakeries and bookshops adding a gentle hum to daily life. There’s a strong appreciation for both the arts and sport, reflected in the area’s art shows, live music nights, local markets and sporting club celebrations.

Events here often find their homes in community halls, churches, schools and the beloved Mount Waverley Community Centre. These venues host everything from craft fairs and classical music recitals to multicultural festivals and family-friendly workshops. With the train station at its heart, plus regular bus routes and ample parking, getting to Mount Waverley is easy whether we are coming from the city or neighbouring suburbs.
