Event details from Marching Elephants Ent & The Laughter Factory
Get ready for an evening packed with laughter as The Comedy Factory brings together some of Gujarat's most-loved comedians in live standup.

The Grand Lavari Show is more than a talk show—it’s a Gujarati cultural phenomenon born from the heart of Gujarat. Created by The Comedy Factory, Manan Desai, Chirayu Mistry, Deep Vaidya & Om Bhatt brings together the voices shaping our generation—artists, athletes, storytellers, visionaries, and icons—for conversations that are as unpredictable as they are unforgettable.

There are no scripts to hide behind. No manufactured drama. Just authentic stories, razor-sharp wit, spontaneous laughter, and the kind of lavari that only Gujaratis truly understand.

Alongside Stand Up Comedy and audience favourite Improv Comedy.

Huntingtower School’s theatre has a welcoming, no-fuss charm, making it a favourite for local cultural nights where the energy comes from the crowd as much as the stage. Mount Waverley’s leafy surrounds mean parking is stress-free and you’re never too far from a quiet café or a post-show bite. The atmosphere at these shows is always lively and full of in-jokes that anyone with a passing familiarity with Gujarati culture will appreciate, but the comedy transcends language-expect spontaneous moments and plenty of audience interaction. This is best for those who love live standup and want a taste of authentic Gujarati humour, whether you’re a native speaker or just keen for something different on a Saturday night. Compared to Melbourne’s usual comedy circuit, the mix of unscripted banter and cultural storytelling gives the evening a unique twist you won’t find in the city’s mainstream venues.
