Comprehensive Programme Targets Gold Resource Discovery
PERTH — Resolution Minerals Ltd has announced the commencement of an extensive drilling programme at its Golden Gate site in Idaho, aiming to define the scale of gold mineralisation. The ASX-listed company is set to conduct up to 45,000 feet (13,700 metres) of diamond drilling, targeting both the northern and southern regions of Golden Gate.
The program, revealed this week, includes a significant increase in drilling activity compared to the successful 2025 campaign, with the goal of progressing towards a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate by early 2027, according to company statements.
The previous phase of drilling highlighted the potential of the site with all 14 holes returning gold mineralisation. Notable results included intersections such as 253 meters at 1.5 grams per tonne of gold. Craig Lindsay, CEO of US Operations, noted the importance of defining the system’s size and shape in this phase.
Details of the Drilling Program
Scheduled to begin in May 2026, the drilling will utilise two core diamond drill rigs. The focus will be on expanding known mineralisation at Golden Gate North and South, including testing new zones of interest like a large gold and tungsten soil anomaly to the west.
In addition to gold, the exploration will assess tungsten mineralisation, aligning with the project’s multi-commodity potential. This move comes as the tightening supply of tungsten and antimony gains strategic importance in the industry.
The Golden Gate project is situated near the Stibnite Gold Mine, a significant undeveloped gold deposit in the US, enhancing its strategic relevance. Resolution anticipates that results from the 2026 programme will aid in ongoing geological interpretation and further drilling efforts.
