High Cheese Returns To The Westin Melbourne

High Cheese runs from 26th May to 17th October

The Westin Melbourne will bring back High Cheese for its third year, with the cheese-led high tea running at Allegro from 26th May to 17th October 2026.

Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte has created the winter dining experience in collaboration with Richmond cheesemonger Supercheese and Punt Road Wines. It takes the shape of a three-tier menu, but shifts the focus away from the usual high tea spread and puts artisan cheese at the centre.

Hosted at Allegro, The Westin Melbourne’s restaurant on Collins Street, High Cheese includes savoury bites, sweet elements and a shared baked Camembert moment. Each booking starts from $90 per person and includes a glass of Punt Road wine.

The return gives The Westin Melbourne another seasonal dining drawcard in the CBD, particularly for guests seeking a late-afternoon or evening alternative to traditional high tea. The sessions run Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00pm to 9:30pm, rather than during the usual daytime tea window.

What diners can expect

The menu is built around cheese, wine and share-style dining. While the full menu details have not been supplied, the experience includes artisan cheeses from Supercheese, selected savoury items, sweet finishes and baked Camembert served for the table.

Punt Road Wines is also part of the collaboration, with one glass included in the standard price. Diners can add a wine pairing experience for an extra $30 per person.

The Westin Melbourne has positioned the return as a playful alternative to classic high tea, but the strongest detail is the collaboration itself. By pairing the hotel restaurant with a Richmond cheese specialist and a Victorian wine producer, the event moves beyond a standard hotel dining package and gives the season a clearer food focus.

High Cheese will be available for almost five months, covering the colder dining period in Melbourne and stretching into spring. Bookings are essential.
