Onboarding Time Reduced by 70%

Through a strategic partnership with Avetta, Harmon Transportation enhanced its operational efficiency, reducing onboarding time by 70% and increasing revenue by 93%.

Based in Sydney, this light freight delivery service focuses on urgent 24-hour deliveries across Australia’s mining industry. Over an 18-month collaboration, Harmon transitioned from paper-based methods to Avetta’s digital platform, boosting compliance and workplace safety.

Previously, Harmon faced inefficiencies with paper-based processes and spreadsheets, which stifled growth potential. Avetta’s platform removed these barriers, enabling better growth planning.

Western Australia Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (WAHVA) was achieved with Avetta’s help, allowing Harmon to target higher-value clients by ensuring superior safety and compliance standards.

Safe Work Australia reports that truck driving is one of Australia’s most hazardous jobs, underlining the need for improved safety and compliance measures. Avetta’s collaboration with Harmon has been crucial in mitigating these risks.

Paul Konstek, CEO of Harmon Transportation, stated, “In the highly regulated logistics sector, spreadsheets and manual processes are a death sentence. Collaborating with Avetta was a gamechanger. We experienced phenomenal bottom-line growth without needing to hire additional admin staff.”

Achieving Compliance and Growth

The integration of Avetta’s platform with Harmon’s internal systems allows precise data cross-referencing. This ensures quick identification and resolution of compliance gaps, enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency.

Profit margins improved to 17% without increasing administrative staff, showcasing the efficiency of new systems. The transition also facilitated new growth opportunities in the Australian mining sector.

Luke Boyle, Vice President of Operations, APAC at Avetta, remarked, “Under Paul’s leadership, Harmon embarked on a journey to eliminate paper and spreadsheets, building a stronger, more proactive safety culture in the process.”

The vast Australian outback presents numerous challenges for delivering essential goods. Updated systems at Harmon enable drivers to navigate these effectively, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

The transformation not only improved operational efficiency but also positioned Harmon as an industry leader, capable of competing for larger contracts due to enhanced compliance and safety protocols.
