Harry Potter experiences at Chadstone finish on 26th April
The Chadstone Shopping Centre will conclude its Harry Potter activation on Sunday, 26th April 2026, marking the final days for visitors to access the centre-wide installations and bookable experiences.
The event, delivered in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, was introduced to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Since launching earlier this month, the activation has featured multiple installations, interactive sessions and themed offerings across the retail destination.

At the centre of the experience, the Great Hall activation has provided guided sessions where visitors move through immersive rooms. Guests take part in a Sorting Hat moment, complete puzzle-based challenges and create a wand to take home. Morning sessions cater to younger attendees, while evening sessions, available for those aged 15 and above, include premium wand materials and a $30 dining voucher for use at The Social Quarter. Bookings remain required for all wand-making sessions.
Across the centre, the Grand Staircase installation has been positioned beneath the gridshell roof. The installation includes large-scale staircases, framed displays and moving digital portraits designed to reflect elements of the Hogwarts interior. Visitors are able to walk through the installation as part of the experience.
Additionally, the Hogwarts Express installation at Platform 9¾ allows visitors to recreate the trolley scene associated with the series. The installation provides a dedicated photo opportunity before the activation concludes.

Final days for Butterbeer tasting and themed dining
The Market Pavilion continues to host a Butterbeer tasting experience, including Butterbeer ice-cream sundae tasters available to visitors during the final days. This marks the first time the product has been available to sample in Australia outside an official Harry Potter exhibition.
Separately, Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery continues to offer a Harry Potter High Tea experience. The offering includes themed sweet and savoury items inspired by the series within the hotel’s dining space.

Bookings for wand-making sessions opened on 16th March, with morning sessions priced at $5 and evening sessions priced at $40. Remaining availability is limited ahead of the final weekend.
