Showcase Includes Hybrid Electric Range
Hino Australia will showcase its range of low and zero emissions trucks, including Hybrid Electric models, at TruckShow X 2026 in the Hunter Valley from 18th to 19th May.
The Hybrid Electric range promises fuel savings of up to 22-24 per cent compared to diesel trucks, potentially saving owners over $50,000 during the vehicle's lifetime.
Daniel Petrovski, Manager of Product Strategy for Hino Australia, stated, "At this year’s TruckShow X, Hino will display a Hybrid Electric cab chassis and will also have a Hybrid Electric Tilt Tray and a Hybrid Electric car-licensed van available to drive."
Advanced Safety and Efficiency
All models in the 300 Series Hybrid Electric range are equipped with the Hino SmartSafe package, which includes advanced safety features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, and Lane Departure Warning.
The Hybrid Electric vehicles meet Euro 6 emission standards and are powered by a Hino N04C-WR four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, combined with an electric motor for efficient performance.
Petrovski further highlighted the benefits, saying, "The Hybrid Electric is a compelling option for customers based on the balance of cost, range, and payload with the benefit of real-world, immediate savings on fuel and emissions."
Hino's Hybrid Electric range includes models from a car-licensed 4.5 tonne GVM to a light rigid-licensed 8 tonne GVM, catering to various customer needs.
TruckShow X 2026, themed ‘Driving the Future’, will focus on decarbonisation, productivity, efficiency, and safety in the trucking industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive the latest models from Hino during the event.
Hino's Dutro (300 Series) Z-EV walk-through van will be featured at the show. It has an ultra-low floor and a 50kW electric motor mounted under the cab that drives the front wheels.
The compact battery of the Dutro Z-EV is mounted beneath the floor of the cargo area, enhancing its design and functionality. As a result, it offers a seamless transition for businesses seeking sustainable solutions.
All vehicles at the show will be backed by the Hino Advantage package, which includes a 5-year warranty, roadside assistance, and capped price servicing, providing peace of mind for potential buyers.
