The iCAUR V23 by Chery Group has clinched the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2026, a prestigious accolade awarded in Germany. This award underscores the V23’s innovative design and its compliance with global standards in spatial practicality and classic aesthetics. The Red Dot Design Award, established in 1955, stands among the world’s top three design honours, alongside the iF Design Award and IDEA. Often called the ‘Oscar of Design,’ this accolade affirms the V23’s excellence.

The V23 showcases an all-electric platform with a distinct four-wheel-at-the-corners layout, a 43° approach angle, a 41° departure angle, and 210 mm of ground clearance. These features contribute to its rugged stance and balanced proportions. Round headlights, exposed wipers, and Lego-pixel-style high-mounted stop lights enhance its classic appeal. a transparent millimeter-wave radar cover highlights its advanced energy technology.

Global Market Impact

In Southeast Asia, the V23 dominates the new energy boxy SUV segment. In May, Thailand saw over 1,000 registrations, placing it among the top five all-electric models. Meanwhile, 481 units were delivered in Malaysia the same month. After entering the South African market, the V23 received high praise from media and key opinion leaders during test drives, resulting in over 300 orders in its first month.

The 2026 China New Energy Vehicle Product Appeal Index Study by J.D. Power ranked the V23 as the top midsize all-electric SUV. At the Indonesia Auto Show, it won three awards: Best APM Outdoor Activity, Favourite New Car Launch, and Favourite Newcomer Car Brand. It also became the first all-electric boxy SUV to receive a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
