The HiLT acquisition adds Singapore fire engineering expertise

Jensen Hughes has acquired HiLT Pte. Ltd., the fire protection engineering firm based in Singapore, to expand its Asia-Pacific business.

The company announced the deal from Columbia, Maryland, and called HiLT the leading fire protection engineering firm in Singapore.

Founded in 2002, HiLT supports projects in transportation, energy storage systems, and large commercial and industrial developments.

HiLT has also worked on international projects that use performance-based design and specialised fire protection systems.

Its technical work includes energy storage protection, water mist systems, and structural fire engineering for steel buildings and mass engineered timber buildings.

Battery storage and foam systems

HiLT is also active in newer fire safety work tied to battery energy storage systems, or BESS, and synthetic fluorine-free foam, known as SFFF.

Raj Arora, CEO of Jensen Hughes, called the acquisition “an exciting milestone” for the organisation and linked it to the firm’s strategic priorities.

According to Jensen Hughes, HiLT’s Southeast Asia base and technical strengths will help clients in demanding sectors across the Asia-Pacific region.

Jensen Hughes employs more than 1,900 engineers, consultants, analysts, and strategists across more than 100 offices worldwide.

The business also works in accessibility consulting, risk and hazard analysis, process safety, security risk, emergency management, and digital innovation.

Integration process under way

Meanwhile, leaders from both companies have already started the integration process and are working on a transition for employees and clients.

Victor Ho, Founder and Director of HiLT, said joining Jensen Hughes would help the Singapore firm scale its impact across the Asia-Pacific region.

Jensen Hughes is backed by Gryphon Investors, a middle-market private investment firm.
